The Punjabi government founded Beant College of Engineering & Technology (BCET), Gurdaspur, in 1995 as an independent institution through a registered society. The Department of Technical Education, Government of Punjab, provided the college registration and affiliation with Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. It has received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. The college's goal is to produce technically qualified professionals who can achieve both domestic and global goals.
